Considering I live in what the ITV documentary called England's most polluted town, AKA Bentham
    I feel remarkably healthy.
In case you missed it, the gist of the item was that a local business that specialises in fire prevention products have been using things known as PFAS and polluting the river Wenning and the local ground water table.
This resulted in higher than usual cancer cases.
There was no control group to compare with other areas and no mention of the fact that the whistleblower was a disgruntled ex employee with a big chip on his shoulder.
PFAS are also known as forever chemicals, they ought to be known as the everywhere chemicals, cos that it where they are.
The Town of Bentham is no better or worse than anywhere else.
Apart from having as a resident and councillor a man who would seem to be involved in setting up organisations to help the less fortunate by getting lottery grants and then like a Cheshire cat the group vanishes just leaving the founders smile.

There was a meeting of Bentham Town Council last night. Monday the 11th of May.
This was the first meeting of the "new" council.
Although as there is a desperate shortage of councillors very little has changed.
The Chairman / Mayor is Gareth Adams.
The deputy chair is Thomas Marshall.
Fresh faces round the table are needed.

    Angus Fire Micro Site.
    Worth reading.
Casts some doubt on the ITV programmes objectivity.
